As a consultant for corporate communications, business coach and trainer, she has already accompanied numerous start-ups on their way. Immediately after founding her own company, she worked extensively in the start-up scene for 14 years – with later solo entrepreneurs and start-up teams.
Over two decades of communication experience meets new ideas
Kerstin Kamrath has been working as a freelance consultant for corporate communications and trainer since 1998 and as a business coach since 2001 – which is her main focus today. She gives workshops and seminars on public relations, marketing and communication in companies and educational institutions. She taught at HAW Hamburg for twelve years and still gives workshops on communicating research results at Leuphana University Lüneburg. As a business coach, she supports managers, players in the creative industries and start-ups with new challenges. Her executive coaching focuses primarily on clear communication within the team and conflict resolution. She works with start-ups and creatives on the presentation of the business idea, the company or project and on their communication with customers and business partners.
She has experience and expertise in the creative industry as well as in the fields of nutrition, health, psychology, further education and business start-ups. After completing her studies, she worked for eight years in PR and marketing functions for large corporations, including Unilever, CinemaxX and Kraft Foods. During this time, she developed successful concepts and strategies and now passes this experience on to her clients.
Coaching – suitable solutions and strategies for current challenges
Kerstin Kamrath likes to develop solutions together with the founders and to engage with their topics and tasks. This results, for example, in strategies for marketing, public relations and acquisition, a clear positioning in the market or core statements about the company and its offering that are as clear and comprehensible as possible. This provides certainty for decisions, clarity for the design of the external image and in contact with customers and business partners, she says. If research is necessary, she also helps with the preparation of a customer survey or competitor analysis. Another typical challenge for founders in which she is happy to provide support and the appropriate know-how is writing texts, e.g. for websites, press releases, newsletters or social media posts.
The communications expert is also a trainer and speaker. In her practice-oriented workshops, she imparts in-depth knowledge and her seminar participants benefit from an intensive dialog in which they can contribute their own questions and examples from their everyday work or the start-up process. This results in tailor-made solutions that can be put directly into practice.
