The young start-up <a href=\"https:\/\/ploviti.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PLOVITI<\/a> has developed an app that navigates customers efficiently and effectively through the aisles of a store. A smart shopping list with lots of information about the desired products is provided on top.  <br><br><\/p><h3><strong>Background to PLOVITI<\/strong><\/h3><p>PLOVITI is the brainchild of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/sharon-thiruvarul-durai-18323b112\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sharon Nisha Thiruvarul Durai<\/a>, a double Master&#8217;s graduate from Hamburg University of Technology. The idea for indoor navigation arose from her own experience of time-consuming supermarket visits, which not only cost customers but also employees nerves and turnover. With the support of the start-up consultancy at <a href=\"https:\/\/beyourpilot.startupport.de\/transfercenter\/2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Startup Port@TUHH<\/a>, she was able to successfully apply for funding from Exist Women, program the first sensors and develop a beta version of the innovative indoor navigation system.  <br><br><\/p><h3><strong>How the app works<\/strong><\/h3><p>Before shopping, users enter their products in the app, which the application uses to create a smart shopping list. At the same time, the app creates a roadmap that uses arrows and distance information to show the shortest and most effective route through the shelves. If I spontaneously add items to the list, the app recalculates the route in real time. The app guides you through the store and the shopping is done in no time and without frustration.   <\/p><p>The PLOVITI app is currently being tested and will be launched in the fall. Next, she wants to address other target groups, such as airports, malls and trade fairs, places where customers want to find their products quickly from a wide range of options.
