According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/startupverband.de\/fileadmin\/startupverband\/mediaarchiv\/research\/migrant_founders\/Migrant_Founders_Monitor_2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Migrant Founders Monitor 2025<\/a>, 17% of founders were born outside Germany, while the proportion of unicorns is as high as 23%. They are often characterized by a high level of education, determination and willingness to take risks, but also face particular hurdles.  <\/p><p>With a new <a href=\"https:\/\/startupcity.hamburg\/de\/international-founders#drei-zentrale-herausforderungen-fuer-migrantische-gruenderinnen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">service page<\/a>, Startup City Hamburg now provides them with comprehensive information and support that addresses their particular challenges and needs and serves as a guide through the Hamburg ecosystem.<\/p><p>Feedback from a workshop with founders, partners and institutions has been incorporated into the content of the site. The site focuses on three major start-up challenges and practical checklists for the most important steps. <\/p><p>For example, the site provides a comprehensive overview of contact points, divided into &#8220;Funding &amp; Accelerators&#8221;, &#8220;Supporting Organizations&#8221; and &#8220;Network &amp; Community&#8221;. This is supplemented by information on universities and integration and language courses. The <a href=\"https:\/\/startupport.de\/en\/consortium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Startup Port as a network of start-up centers of 10 universities and research institutions<\/a>, where many founders with a history of migration are active, is also mentioned and linked.   <\/p><p>In the coming months, the range will be continuously expanded and supplemented with editorial contributions &#8211; always in close cooperation with players in the ecosystem.<\/p>\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/startupcity.hamburg\/de\/international-founders#drei-zentrale-herausforderungen-fuer-migrantische-gruenderinnen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tService page International founders of Startup City Hamburg\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>People with a history of migration are becoming increasingly important in the German startup ecosystem.
