Since 2018, the “Calls for Transfer” funding program has already advanced 146 ideas in 10 funding rounds. Universities and research institutions in Hamburg have the opportunity to fund pioneering projects – from technological progress and artistic research to knowledge-based start-up ideas – with up to 35,000 euros.
A prime example: Scientists at HAW Hamburg have developed a digital signature that makes it possible to reliably expose manipulated videos. This innovative process, which makes counterfeiting virtually impossible, illustrates the impact of practical transfer projects.
New in the 11th round is the additional funding line C4T Pier Plus. This is aimed at cooperation projects that are closely linked to the thematic profiles of the Pier Plus knowledge platform – for example in the areas of health, climate or new materials. The aim is to further strengthen interdisciplinary approaches and sustainably promote the economic, scientific and social impact of small but promising ideas.
The application phase runs until March 31, 2025, so take advantage of this opportunity to put innovative transfer ideas into practice and further advance Hamburg’s innovative strength!
