The Hamburg-based startup Plancraft has reached another milestone on its growth path with the successful conclusion of a Series B financing round. Under the leadership of Headline, several venture capital companies are investing 38 million euros in the start-up. Following previous financing rounds, Plancraft has thus increased its total financing to more than 50 million.
Julian Wiedenhaus, CEO of plancraft, highly emphasizes the commitment and determination of the entire team to achieve this milestone. “The way we live our culture every day – that’s the real headline (pun intended)”.
AI agents for business processes in the skilled trades
Plancraft has developed software for trades businesses that aims to digitize the industry and relieve it of administrative tasks. Quotations, project plans for construction sites and employee accounts can be recorded and displayed using the software to save time, allowing tradespeople to concentrate on their core business.
The next goal is to develop an AI for the software and add AI agents so that business processes are even easier to handle and can be further optimized. For Julian Wiedenhaus, AI is not a “nice-to-have, but a new way of working.” It helps to break down barriers and fears when working with software, as only speech and voice are required to use it.
Team grows across Europe
Since its foundation in 2020, during which Plancraft was supported by the Startup Port@TUHH consulting team, the Hamburg-based company has grown to 100 employees and has built up additional teams in Austria, the Netherlands and Italy.
The team is also currently looking to expand. We are looking for developers for AI and in the area of voice UX, as well as marketing experts.
Over the next few years, Plancraft wants to become the largest community of craftspeople in Europe and “build a future in which craftspeople not only survive, but thrive”, says Julian Wiedenhaus.
