Startup from the Startup Port @TUHH receives funding for data-based process optimization in industrial 3D printing
The Hamburg-based startup amsight, which specializes in data-based process optimization in industrial 3D printing, has successfully completed its pre-seed investment round. A total of five investors are participating in the round – in addition to capital, they primarily bring in-depth expertise in the areas of additive manufacturing, finance and sales. Supporters include MBG Schleswig-Holstein and the business angels Michael Wohlmuth, Alexander Flamboe, Andreas Berkau and Michael Jonker.
amsight was founded as part of the CREW Hamburg in the Startup Port @TUHH a program of the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) start-up center that supports innovative start-ups on their way to market maturity.
Strategic partnerships for growth
amsight intends to use the fresh funds to expand sales and further develop the software platform. The aim is to provide additive manufacturing companies with data-based transparency about their production processes – resulting in improved quality, lower reject rates and optimized production parameters.
“With this financing, we are taking the next big step,” says Dr.-Ing. Tim Wischeropp, co-founder and CEO of amsight. “Our investors not only support us financially, but also bring strategic expertise and valuable networks to the partnership.”
A 2nd closing currently offers other industry-related investors the opportunity to get involved.
amsight platform – process intelligence for 3D printing
The amsight software platform analyzes production data from industrial 3D printing processes using AI and statistical methods. The aim is to identify sources of error at an early stage and improve production processes based on data-supported findings. The solution can be seamlessly integrated into existing production environments and supports both real-time monitoring and in-depth analyses.
Outlook
With the completion of the investment round and the strategic support of its partners, amsight plans to expand its market presence and further develop the platform into a comprehensive solution for process intelligence in additive manufacturing.
